CAR-REP® 1K ETCH/ACID PRIMER is a chrome-free acid primer with excellent corrosion-inhibiting properties.
Active rust-inhibiting pigments provide optimal corrosion protection.
Also suitable as a weld-through primer.
Ideal for sanding through to bare metal. Also suitable for aluminum and galvanized metal, sanded and thoroughly cleaned.
Excellent sanding properties.
Fast drying time. A new coat can be sprayed on if necessary.
The primer has good adhesion and coverage and can be overcoated with most automotive paints, including water-based paints.
Instructions for use:
Ideal for spot and component painting.
Before application, we recommend wet-sanding parts with 400-600 grit sandpaper and
cleaning them.
Apply multiple thin coats to create a sufficient film thickness.
Fast-drying, a new primer or topcoat can be applied after 10-15 minutes of drying time.
Do not overcoat with polyester or epoxy products.
